Has MLK's "dream" been realized?
While it is undeniable that African-Americans have been more involved in the labor force, it is also unfair to not recognize the great difference of employment between African-Americans and whites. Positively, the African-American employment rate has improved since the 1980's. About six million more African-Americans have began working since 1980. On the other hand, 66 million whites are working, while only about 16 million blacks are currently employed.
